Making breakfast for your dad is a great way to start off his father's day! These recipes are so easy that you can make them for Dad with only a little help from an adult.

If eggs are top on your Father's list of favorite breakfast foods, you can make these easily.

Menu:

  • Fried Eggs
  • Buttered Toast with jam
  • Your Dad's Favorite Fruit Juice

You will need:
  • 2 teaspoons margarine or butter, or nonstick spray coating
  • 4 eggs
How to Make Your Fried Eggs

This recipe makes it easy to make fried eggs for Dad as there is no need to turn the eggs over. In a large skillet, melt margarine or butter over medium heat. (Or spray the skillet with cooking oil spray before putting on the heat). Melt until margarine bubbles, then add eggs. When the whites are set, add 1 teaspoon of water and cover the skillet. Cook eggs the amount of doneness that your dad likes (Approximately 2 minutes for soft or 4 minutes for firm.) It makes two servings. For only one serving reduce number of eggs to two, use a small skillet and only one teaspoon margarine or butter. Serve with buttered toast or English muffins and your father's favorite fruit juice for a perfect breakfast!

For Dads with a sweet tooth, make these yummy sugared donuts. They are really easy!

Menu:

  • Sugared or Filled Donuts
  • Milk (or Dad's favorite breakfast drink)

You will need:
  • 1 package refrigerated bisquits
  • 1/4 cup melted shortening or cooking oil for deep fat frying.
  • granulated sugar
  • plastic food storage bag
  • jam, jelly, or pudding for filled donuts (optional)
How to Make Your Super Easy Donuts

Open refrigerated biscuit according to package directions (I always like the kind that you hit on the edge of the counter and they pop open). Separate biscuits. You can cook them as is, or you can cut them with a donut cutter so that they have a hole in the middle or use a clean screw top from a soda pop bottle to make the hole.

Heat shortening or oil to about 375 degrees. Fry two or three donuts at a time in the hot fat for about 1 minute per side, or until they are a golden brown. Turn once with a slotted spoon. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining doughnuts and doughnut holes. While still warm, shake donuts and holes in a bag with sugar.

For filled donuts: do not cut holes in center. When cool, cut a hole on one side and fill with a spoonful of your Dad's favorite jam or jelly or you can also fill with chocolate or vanilla pudding. Serve to your Dad with a cold glass of milk or his favorite morning beverage.
