About the Constellation: (The water-bearer), a very large but not conspicuous constellation, and one of the twelve in the Zodiac. There seem no mythological legends about Aquarius, though the Egyptians connected its setting with the Nile floods and the Italians with the rainy season. It has only two stars of the third magnitude, but 84 others are visible to the naked eye. It lies mostly south of the celestial equator. Using the revised boundaries, the Sun enters Aquarius about January 15 and leaves about March 18. Two well-known meteor showers, the Eta Aquarids of May and the Delta Aquarids of July have their radiants here.
