Fill the large bowl with water. Mix the ceramic paint, or artist's paint with a little solvent to make the paint "drippy". With the paint brush, drop successive colors on to the surface of the water.

Stir the paint with the handle of the paint brush, or a stick until you have a pleasant swirling pattern. You can also blow the paint across the surface of the water for another effect.

Wearing rubber gloves, so you don't get paint on your hands, place a piece of paper on the surface of the water, then immediately lift it off. The swirls of paint on the paper will create a marbling effect. Place the paper aside to dry. When paper is dry, you can wrap a small box with it.
Note: Choose ribbons and bows that compliment the color of the paint and you will have a stunning gift box! You can use colored paper also to create additional effects. Plus, try sprinkling sparkles or glitter on the wet marble-painted paper and let dry for another look. Use your imagination!
