OpenHere Valentines

This easy method of creating a rubbed picture can be used to make all sorts of creations, let your imagination run wild!.

You will need:
Heavy contruction paper, or tagboard
Paper
Crayons
Non-toxic glue or paste

Step 1

Cut some shapes such as rabbits, eggs, chicks or flowers from heavy construction paper or tagboard. Shapes to make a rabbit are shown. Step 2

Glue or paste the shapes on a background paper in an interesting arrangement. Step 3

Place a thin sheet of paper over the arrangement. Rub over the paper with the side of a dark-colored crayon. Watch the designs and pictures appear. Notice how the overlapping parts bring out the detail of the final "rubbed" picture.
