| Ginger Bread Cookies |
Ingredients:
3 cups Flour
1 tsp. Baking soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Ground ginger
1 tsp. Ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Grated nutmeg
1/4 tsp. Ground cloves
3/4 cup Dark brown sugar (packed)
3/4 cup Unsalted butter, cut into small chunks
1/4 cup Unsulfured molasses
1/4 cup Honey
1 Egg
Kitchen ware:
Sifter
Large Bowl
Cookie sheet
Wire rack
Directions:
1. Sift flour, salt, baking soda, and spices together.
2. Place sugar and butter in a large bowl, mix well until smooth.
3. Add molasses, honey and egg.
4. Mix well.
5. Add flour mixture.
6. Mixing well again.
7. Take the dough out and shape into a circle.
8. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill overnight.
9. Roll out dough to about a 1/8" thickness and cut in to cookies.
10. Place the cookies on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
11. Bake at 350F for 12 to 14 minutes.
12. Cool for several minutes, than transfer to a wire rack.
13. After they have cooled they may be iced.
