What is needed:
Beeswax sheets
Blow dryer (opt.)
Wicking
Directions:
1. Work with the wax in a warm room (if the room is too cool, than use the blow dryer at low setting. gently warm)
2. Roll gently, but tightly.
3. Press the edge to wax with fingernail to keep it from unrolling.
Taper Spiral [QuickView]
1. Cut large sheet diagonally
2. Lay some candle wicking on long edge and roll.
Plain Taper [QuickView]
1. Use a large sheet and lay some wicking on the longer edge. Roll.
2. Cylinders may be left plain for their simple beauty or decorated many ways:
You can trim it with glitter on edges.
You can spray some glitter for a light sparkle.
You can tie a pretty ribbon around the middle.
You can cut patterns from a contrasting color of wax and glue it on.
Large Cylinder (3 large sheets) [QuickView]
1. Lay hte first sheet down.
2. Place some wicking length wise on the wax and roll.
3. Press down the edge with fingernail.
4. Place the edge of the second sheet next to the edge of the first sheet.
5. Press it down with your fingernail. Continue to roll candle.
6. Do the same with third sheet.
Medium Cylinder (two large sheets) [QuickView]
1. Lay the first sheet on your work table.
2. Place some wicking on the shorter edge.
3. Roll it as you would for the larger cylinder candle.
Small Cylinder (one large sheet) [QuickView]
1. Cut it in half length wise.
2. Follow the directions for making a medium cylinder.
