Shortcut/Tip February 23, 1999: Bent Wire Guards Power-Tool Switch To prevent accidentally bumping a power tool that has a switch handle to the on position, add a wire guard. Take a piece of stiff galvanized wire with the ends looped around two bolts on the switch housing. It is big enough to leave plenty of finger room for operating the handle.
