Animal lovers, get ready for another installment of life on Grizzly...
Animal lovers, get ready for another installment of life on Grizzly Mountain. Unrelated, yet extremely reminiscent of the original 70’s hit, “Escape to Grizzly Mountain” is an entertaining story about a boy, a young grizzly, and a trip through time. When young Jimmy Dobson sees a grizzly cub being tortured at the circus, he knows he has to help. Going off of a tip from a Native American security guard, Jimmy takes the grizzly to a legendary time travel-equipped cave. Jimmy suddenly finds himself in the middle of 1800’s, where he meets Jeremiah, the ultimate mountain man. The two then journey back to the future, where they’re determined to try and save the young grizzly’s life. Children will undoubtedly enjoy “Escape to Grizzly Mountain,” especially the cuddly little bear. Adults, on the other hand, will probably be a bit less than impressed, since the acting is pretty weak and the story line less than convincing. But hey, it’s rated “G,” it’s cute, and it keeps their attention…isn’t that what kids’ movies are about? That’s Children’s Video/DVD Review. Check back next week
