Welcome to Kids Krafts for the week of August 26-September 2. Before we begin this week’s craft, let me remind you to ask a parent for help. Never begin a Kids Kraft without receiving help and permission from a parent. With that said, let’s begin making Lemon Play Dough!! You’ll need:
1 ½ C water
2 tsp liquid food coloring (any color)
2 Tbsp cooking oil
1 or 2 drops lemon oil
2 C flour
1 tsp salt
4 Tbsp cream of tartar
In a large pot, combine water, food coloring, and both oils. Add flour, salt, and cream of tartar. Over medium heat, cook and stir for about five minutes until a ball of dough forms. Cool the dough for five minutes and then knead it with your hands until smooth. Store in the refrigerator in a Ziploc bag or airtight container. Have fun! And that’s Kids Krafts for this week.
