3 party games that are sure to be hits!

When a group of boys and girls accumulate in one place to talk and
eat it may be said that it is a "party" but it can not really be given
the title of a party without something fun and exciting to bring
everyone into the fun and make friends out of strangers.
Below is a list of party games that will bring amusement to any
party, they may be applied to birthday and holiday parties or
informal get-togethers. All are great fun for everyone!

Forfeits:

What you will need for play:
2 Bowls
2 Trays
Paper cut into strips
Pens (to write on the paper)
A group of boys and girls

Forfeits:
Before playing starts write some stunts for boys to do and some for
girls on the strips of paper.
Fold the slips and put those for boys to perform in one bowl and
those for girls in the other.
The group chooses a Judge and a Leader.
First the Judge is blindfolded and then the Leader collects from
each player a forfeit, such as a ring, a penny, a handkerchief, or
anything else, the forfeits are then placed on separate trays one for
the boys and one for the girls. The Leader picks up an item from
one of the trays and holds it over the Judge's head saying:

"Heavy, heavy hangs over your head.
What shall be done to redeem it?"

The Judge then asks "Fine or Superfine?" if it is a boy's item the
answer is "Fine" if a girl's it is "Superfine".
Now the forfeiter may redeem his forfeit by obeying the Judge's
order. The Judge draws a slip of paper from one of the bowls if it
was Fine he draws from the boys bowl, Superfine if it was from the
girls. The leader opens the paper and reads aloud what must be
done.
The player whose forfeit has been picked must now redeem it.

Here are a few suggestions for stunts that may amuse everyone:
Without using your hands lap up a saucer of milk
Using your nose push a nickel across the table
Sing a song, off key
Dance a jig while singing a nursery song.
Holding one of your toes hop back and forth across the room.
Pick up a handkerchief from the floor with your teeth.

There are lots of different silly

stunts and making them up before
the game is as fun as redeeming the forfeits!

Animal Calling

What you will need for play:
A deck of cards (Uno Cards work great).

Lets get started:
Players sit around a table or in a circle on the floor. Each player
chooses an animal that he wants be in the game. One player may
want to be a dog, monkey, cat, horse, etc… Each player must be a
different animal and must tell everyone else what animal he has
chosen to be.

One player deals out the deck, dealing out the cards as equally as
possible. Each player keeps his deck of cards face down in front of
himself. The player to the left of the dealer starts the play by
turning over his top card, he should turn it away from himself so
he doesn't see it before the other players (this is important later in
the game) and lay it face up in front of his hand, play continues
with each player turning over the top card of their hand.
The excitement comes when one player turns over a card that
matches the upturned card of another player, now quickly as
possible they try to remember each others animal, the one who
calls it out first wins everyone's upturned cards.
If one player looses all of his cards he is out.
Play continues until one player, the winner, has all of the cards.

Passing the Button

What you will need for play:
A button (a marble, penny, or ring also work well)

Where's the button?:
One player is chosen as "It" and sits with all the players around
him in a circle. Each player sits with their hands together, fingers
extended, before the play started one player was given the button,
which he now holds between his hands. He now starts "Passing the
Button" to the next player, which he may do or only pretend to do,
he does so by slipping his hands around the players next to him so
that their hands pass between his, and so on around the circle until
each player has had a chance to "pass the button". The player who
is "It" then tries to guess which player has the button if he guesses
right the player with the button takes his place in the center as "It"
