| Officials in western Afghanistan say a suicide bombing in a crowded market has killed at least 16 people and wounded 22 others. The officials say police and civilians were among those killed in Thursday's blast in the Delarem district of the province of Farah. They say the bomber was wearing a burqa commonly worn by Afghan women. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast. The extremist group relies largely on suicide attacks.
