Turkish media say prosecutors are set to indict a group of prominentsecular activists suspected of involvement in an alleged coup plotagainst the Islamic-leaning government.
The Turkish broadcasterNTV quotes Istanbul's deputy chief prosecutor Wednesday as sayingauthorities have completed the indictment against suspected members ofthe alleged hardline secularist network Ergenekon. He says thesuspects will be tried on terrorism charges.
Turkish media saythe indictment does not yet include 21 people detained Tuesday as partof an ongoing police investigation into the network. The indictmentrefers instead to several others already in detention for suspectedlinks to Ergenekon.

He told the Constitutional Court the party is tryingto turn Turkey into an Islamic state and he called for about 70 AKparty members, including Mr. Erdogan and President Abdullah Gul, to bebarred from politics.
AK denies the charges and calls thepetition anti-democratic. The AK party's defense is expected topresent its oral arguments Thursday.
